Suggestions: Before planting, enrich the soil
with compost. To avoid disease problems, don't plant where broccoli or related
plants grew within the last 2 years. Does best when transplanted outside mid-spring
or late summer. Water regularly and fertilize monthly. To harvest, cut the stem
4 to 6 inches below the central head while the buds are small and tight. No yellow
flowers should be visible in the head.
