--------------------------------------------

I moved my Thai Hot peppers outside in late April. They're doing great. I have lots of red peppers already and many more green ones, not to mention the flowers!

I have 3 tomato plants in topsy-turvy planters. I planted 4 (Yellow Pear, Hillbilly, Early Girl and Gardener's Delight). Unfortunately, one of them died and I'm not sure which one. So, I'll have to wait until I have tomatoes to figure out which one I lost. (Next time, I'll mark which is which.) Today was the first day I noticed flowers on one of the tomatoes.

I also have 2 tomatoes (Julia Child & Crnkovic Yugoslavian) and 6 peppers (CA Wonder 300, Mixed Bell, Ancho/Poblano, Serrano, Early Jalapeno, Hungarian Yellow Wax) planted in 2 Earthboxes. The plants all look a little too light-colored, but the new growth looks darker. I had all my peppers and tomatoes on the east side of the house and I don't think they've been getting enough sun.

I haven't planted anything down in the actual garden yet, which is very bad. I should have started it months ago. The cicadas are hampering my progress now. It's so bad in our yard that I don't even want to go out there during most of the day.

In the front yard, I've planted several lilies and a Green Wizard rudbeckia in Lily's garden (Lily is my cat). Today, I planted 7 dahlias out there, too. The 6 tulips from Brecks that I planted all died. I hope they come back last year. I also planted the 2 lilies I bought at the end of last season that I never planted. They survived in pots in the front yard all year (with no care).

In the back yard, I planted the Knock Out rose that my mom bought me last year in September. It doesn't look too good, so I'm hoping it rebounds. I also planted 6 Blueberry bushes that I got from Miller Nurseries. I bought a set that was supposed to contain 1 each of Atlantic, Bluecrop, Blueray, Herbert, Ivanhoe and Jersey. Unfortunately, I got 2 that were marked Ivanhoe and no Herbert. One of the Ivanhoes had a second tag on it with different letters. I'm going to call them tomorrow to try to figure out what exactly I got.
